History: Last Horizon is a culmination of Adrian’s passion for cool climate viticulture. Last Horizon comprises single vineyard wines from Tasmania, illustrating the unique micro climates of each region. The Tamar Valley wines are fruit driven and relatively approachable in their youth whilst the cooler climate wines are tightly structured and elegant, built for long term cellaring.
Vinification: The Pinot Noir is treated in small open fermenters with minimal sulphur addition during fermentation and maturation before bottling without fining or filtration.
Tasting Note: A beautiful Pinot Noir with a fragrant and fruity nose. Spicy and smokey notes from maturation in French oak are balanced by a dark fruit palate. Current jus, black berry and light tannins allow for an upfront styled wine ready to drink now regardless of its youth or can be aged accordingly. Last Horizon Pinot Noir is a very approachable wine that can be matched well to food or be drunk on its own.
