Vineyards: The richly flavoured Macon fruit gives texture and depth to the elegant
minerality of Hautes Côtes du Nuits. A component of Marsannay adds complexity and length.
2008 Vintage: For the second year in a row extremely challenging conditions due to
a wet summer were alleviated by a warm change and dry winds in late August. Harvest was slightly later than in 2007 and the overall result was fruit intensity and acidity somewhere between the rich 2006's and the finely structured 2007's.
Tasting Note: Pale yellow in colour with bright green highlights. The nose is fresh and lively with citrus and stone fruit aromas matched to crushed herb and straw. The palate is fruit driven with a rich depth of ripe tropical fruit and guava before crisp mineral acidity delivers a precise and cleansing finish.
