The Waihopai Valley Marlborough is often refered to as hole in the water due to it being one of New Zealands Sunniest and driest areas. In these bright, but relatively 'cool' climate conditions, the Sauvignon Blanc grapes have the advantage of a long slow, ripening period.
Tasting Notes: A brilliant, pale straw green colour. Fresh, uplifting gooseberry and citrus aromas develop into more exotic guava and mango notes. The palate equally overflows with grapefruit and lush tropical fruits, tangy acidity and just a hint of sweetness to round out the mouth. Match with Barbecued Chilli Octopus with Red Capsicum and Tzatziki. Drink Now - Mid 2013.
